DORSET — On Dec. 8, at approximately 8:13 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to an incident on VT Route 30 involving a family dispute that escalated to violence.
Mariana Reichl, 42, of Dorset, was arrested after an investigation revealed she had inflicted pain and bodily injury on a member of her household.
Police took Reichl into custody without incident and transported her to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.
Following the arrest, Reichl was moved to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility, where she is being held without bail.
The Vermont State Police has not released the name or details of the victim, in accordance with policies to protect the identities of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The incident remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
