Ansonia man injured in shooting, police seek information on blue or grey Mustang

ANSONIA — A 37-year-old Ansonia man was injured in a shooting on Pork Hollow Road around 7:25 p.m. on Dec. 8, according to a press release from the Ansonia Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the lower body and evidence suggesting multiple shots had been fired.

The injured man was promptly transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

During the ongoing investigation, authorities have pinpointed a vehicle potentially linked to the incident—a newer model Ford Mustang convertible, either blue or grey in color, with white license plates.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated event and assure the community that there is no immediate threat to public safety.

The Ansonia Police Department is urging anyone with information about the shooting or the vehicle of interest to come forward.
