NEWPORT — Joshua House Inc. will host its third annual talent competition December 9 at the Eastside Restaurant, marking President Tim Daley’s final event before stepping down at month’s end.
The nonprofit organization, which supports Northeast Kingdom residents in need, has secured a $2,500 matching grant opportunity for the fundraiser. Winners will compete for prizes ranging from $200 to $500.
“Asking for money, especially in times like these, has become too challenging,” said Daley, noting that this will be his last fundraising effort for the organization.
The event features six acts, including Kelly Dolan Stuber, Nate Graves, Nathan Michaud, Tod Pronto, Kelly Rodrigues and Steve McManus, and Hollie Lillis and Kelly Newton. Chris Cook, Mark Shelton, and Earlene Connolly will judge the performances.
Tickets are $45 and available at Green Mountain Natural Foods and the Eastside Restaurant. The evening will include a raffle and mini auction, with proceeds helping fund operations into early 2025.
