STAMFORD — A pedestrian was severely injured after being hit by a CT Transit bus on Thursday at approximately 4:55 p.m. near the intersection of Glenbrook Road and East Main Street.
David Sheridan, a 54-year-old resident of Stamford, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Stamford Hospital by Stamford EMS.
Following emergency surgery, Sheridan remains in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
The bus driver, identified as 50-year-old Hugo Cervantes, also a Stamford resident, remained at the scene and called for emergency services immediately after the incident.
Cervantes has been cooperative and was interviewed by investigators at the scene.
The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad, led by Sgt.
Jeffrey Booth, is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
