Worcester man arrested for convenience store robberies, fentanyl possession

WORCESTER — Worcester Police detectives apprehended a man wanted for a series of convenience store robberies after they located him on an inbound train at Union Station on Dec. 4.

At approximately 6 p.m., officers detained 47-year-old Nehemias Montes, who had multiple active warrants for unarmed robberies in the area.

During the arrest, detectives found several bags of fentanyl in Montes’s possession, leading to an additional charge of possession of a Class A substance.

Montes is currently being held for the outstanding warrants and the narcotics charge as the investigation continues.
