CLAREMONT — Following a detailed investigation into the illicit sales of fentanyl and crack cocaine, New Hampshire State Police have arrested two individuals on multiple drug-related charges.

Authorities took 33-year-old Joshua Poirier into custody on Nov. 25, charging him with three counts of conspiracy to commit sales of a controlled drug, alongside one count of sale of a controlled substance.

A few days later, on Nov. 30, Barbara Bellacicco, also 33 and from Claremont, was arrested on three counts of conspiracy to commit sales of a controlled drug.

The arrests are the culmination of a lengthy investigation by the State Police’s Narcotics Investigations Unit (NIU), which netted over 5 grams of substances believed to be fentanyl or heroin and more than 18 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

The NIU received support from the Claremont Police Department and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force.

Prosecution of the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office.

Following their arrests, Poirier and Bellacicco were processed at the Claremont Police Department and subsequently released on personal recognizance bail.

Poirier is slated for arraignment on Jan. 13, while Bellacicco is set to appear in court on Feb. 10.

State Police encourage anyone with further information to contact Lt. Shane W. Larkin of the Narcotics Investigations Unit at (603) 223-4381.
