MAIDSTONE — The Essex County Sheriff’s Department has initiated a search for Robert Lancraft, an 85-year-old man reported missing after he failed to arrive at his family’s residence in Shapleigh, Maine.
Authorities were alerted on April 12 that Lancraft, a resident of Maidstone, left for Shapleigh on April 11 but never reached his destination.
The missing man is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds.
He was last seen driving a Silver 2016 Honda CRV bearing Vermont registration GATORS1.
The Derby State Police are leading the investigation and urge anyone with information on Lancraft’s whereabouts or who may have seen his vehicle to contact them at 802-334-8881.
The search spans the area between Maidstone and Shapleigh, and local communities are on alert for any signs of the missing senior or his vehicle.
