Providence police make multiple arrests in a series of unrelated crimes

PROVIDENCE — A series of arrests were made on Dec. 5 by various units of the Providence Police Department, targeting crimes ranging from larceny to assault and fraud.

The Special Victims Unit charged Jose Hernandez, 22, of 34 Hagan Street, with felony larceny.

Following his arraignment in Third District Court, Hernandez was held at the Adult Correctional Institutions as a violator.

Isaac Rosario, also 22 and residing at 12 Lowell Avenue, faced multiple charges including two counts of domestic felony assault, one count of domestic simple assault, and one count of domestic disorderly conduct.

He, too, was arraigned and held as a violator at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

In a coordinated effort, the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended Anthony G.

Perkins, 62, of 223 Park Avenue Basement, Woonsocket.

Perkins was wanted on several warrants, including reckless driving and eluding police in Warwick, felony domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct in Woonsocket, and obstruction and resisting arrest in Cumberland.

He was taken into custody without incident and handed over to Woonsocket Police.

The Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Darlin Zayas, 27, of 98 Comstock Avenue, on charges of obtaining money under false pretenses.

Zayas was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and appeared for arraignment in Third District Court.

Additionally, the Financial Crimes Unit arrested two individuals on similar charges.

James Gadson, 63, of 286 Sayles Street, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, fraudulently obtaining public assistance, and giving a false document to a public official.

He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance after arraignment.

Antonia Dublin, 37, of 248 Crescent View Avenue, Riverside, faced identical charges and was also released on $10,000 personal recognizance.
