LYNDONVILLE — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a local woman wanted as a fugitive from justice and on burglary charges, Lyndonville Police Department officials said.

Kelly Gilmore, 54, of Lyndon, was stopped by police around 7:52 p.m. on Dec. 4 as she drove into the driveway of a residence at 731 Hill Street.

The stop, initially for a motor vehicle violation, uncovered that Gilmore was the subject of a felony warrant from the Liberty County (TX) Sheriff’s office, which included nationwide extradition.

Additionally, Gilmore was wanted on a warrant for burglary issued by the Caledonia Superior Court.

She was taken into custody without incident and ordered held without bail at the Northeast Correctional Facility as a fugitive from justice.

The Vermont court set bail for the burglary warrant at $200.
