Wickford man arrested on weapons charges following traffic stop

WICKFORD — A Rhode Island man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of an outstanding warrant for weapons charges.

Juan Lora, 32, of West Warwick, was arrested by state troopers at 8:35 a.m. on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick.

Lora faced an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by the Pawtucket Police Department for two counts of possessing large capacity feeding devices.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop conducted by the Rhode Island State Police.

Lora was then transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing.

Following the procedure, he was handed over to the authorities of the Pawtucket Police Department.
