Sutton woman arrested for road rage, domestic assault

SUTTON — A Sutton woman is facing multiple charges after a road rage incident that escalated to domestic assault late Saturday night.

Vermont State Police from the St. Johnsbury barracks reported to a collision at the intersection of Calendar Brook Road and Station Road at approximately 11:04 p.m.

The incident involved 51-year-old Sharon Britch, who is accused of intentionally ramming another vehicle repeatedly.

During the altercation, Britch, who was found to be operating her vehicle with a criminally suspended license, also allegedly assaulted a domestic partner, inflicting pain.

The identity of the victim has not been released, following Vermont State Police policy on incidents involving domestic violence.

Britch has been taken into custody on charges of domestic assault, negligent operation, and criminal driving with a suspended license.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
