SCARBOROUGH — Members of the Scarborough Police Department, along with several regional law enforcement agencies, carried out a search warrant at a local residence Tuesday evening, leading to two arrests and the seizure of illegal substances and a firearm.
The operation, which included assistance from the Southern Maine Regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit, Southern Maine Special Response Team, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, took place at 10 Burnham Road in Scarborough on Dec. 3 at about 7:30 p.m.
Officials closed Burnham Road between Tapley Road and Theresa Masse Lane for three hours while they conducted the raid.
Police arrested Paul Dibiase, 44, of Peaks Island, and Jacklen Leeman, 40, of Freeport, who were both wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
Authorities also confiscated a firearm and suspected methamphetamine from the property.
Further charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
