Fairfax woman rolls car on icy road, suffers minor injuries

FAIRFAX — A single-vehicle accident on Woodward Road near Buck Hollow Road resulted in suspected minor injuries for a local woman on Dec. 3.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at 6:43 p.m. to find a 2016 Toyota RAV4 overturned.

The driver, Amanda Sidwell, 29, of Fairfax, was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.

The vehicle sustained total damage and was resting on its roof when troopers arrived.

Sidwell was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

Authorities said the road conditions, which included snow and ice accumulation, were a significant factor in the crash.

Fairfax Rescue, Fairfax Fire Department, and Stone’s Towing provided assistance at the scene.
