Everett police investigate early morning shooting, victim hospitalized

EVERETT — Police responded to a report of shots fired on Oliver Street just before 5 a.m., where they gathered details from a witness after both the suspect and victim had left the scene.

Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge later informed Everett Police of a gunshot victim with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 26-year-old victim from Everett, whose identity remains confidential, is believed to have been targeted, indicating there is no ongoing threat to the local community or the broader city area.

Everett officers have taken a statement from the victim, and detectives, along with troopers from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, are actively investigating the shooting.
