DUMMERSTON — A New Hampshire man was arrested on multiple charges including assault on law enforcement and DUI after crashing his vehicle on Interstate 91.
James Clark, 44, from Chichester, New Hampshire, was taken into custody after a Vermont State Trooper responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with the guardrail on I-91 in Dummerston on Dec. 3 at about 5:26 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, the trooper observed signs of impairment in Clark.
When Clark failed to comply with commands, he became aggressive and disorderly.
During his arrest, Clark was found to be in possession of brass knuckles.
After being transported to the Westminster Barracks, Clark continued to exhibit assaultive behavior towards law enforcement officers.
Fortunately, the incident did not result in any injuries.
Clark was released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to charges of assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest, DUI drugs, disorderly conduct, possession of brass knuckles, and negligent operation.
