Two arrested on separate warrants by Rhode Island State Police

HOPE VALLEY — Rhode Island State Police have arrested two individuals on outstanding warrants following separate incidents on Monday.

At 9 a.m., troopers took Myles Ross, 26, of Alexandria, Virginia, into custody on an affidavit and arrest warrant for obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

The charge stems from an investigation at the State Police Hope Valley Barracks conducted by Trooper C.

Carr in collaboration with the Narragansett Police Department.

Ross was transported to Fourth District Court, arraigned, and later released.

Later in the day, at 3:19 p.m., troopers arrested Gerald Morris, 59, of Coventry, Rhode Island, following a traffic stop on Route 95 North in West Warwick.

Morris was wanted on an affidavit and arrest warrant for shoplifting issued by the Coventry Police Department.

He was taken to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks for processing and subsequently turned over to Coventry Police.
