SWAMPSCOTT — Swampscott Police Department is searching for a couple suspected of stealing a beloved family pet from its front yard on Bates Road around 10 a.m. today.
The missing pet, Trudy, a 14-year-old hound mix, recently underwent back surgery and is a cherished member of her family.
Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the van seen in a provided picture, along with the male and female connected to the incident.
Swampscott Police urge anyone with information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of Trudy to contact them immediately at 781-595-1111.
The department is keen on addressing this matter swiftly and ensuring the safe return of the family’s pet.
