Rhode Island troopers make multiple arrests for domestic violence, leaving accident scene

PROVIDENCE — Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks conducted a series of arrests on Monday and early Tuesday for various offenses including domestic violence and leaving the scene of an accident.

On Monday at 1:07 p.m., Troopers apprehended Deddy Zeekeh, 27, of Providence, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault as per a warrant issued by the Providence Police Department.

Zeekeh’s arrest followed a traffic stop on Route 10.

After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, he was handed over to the Providence Police Department.

Later that day, at 3:02 p.m., Carissa Giroux, 31, of Newport, was taken into custody for two counts of failing to appear at a pre-trial conference for charges of Domestic Violence – Criminal Violation.

The warrants were issued by the Providence Superior Court, stemming from initial charges by the Newport Police Department.

Giroux’s arrest occurred after a follow-up investigation at the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families.

She was processed at the barracks and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

At 5:38 p.m. the same day, Olivia Costa, 24, of Providence, was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Damage to an Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 North in Cranston.

Costa was located at her residence and was misdemeanor released, pending a future court date at the Third Division District Court.

In the early hours of Tuesday at 1:44 a.m., Georgia Monet-Brice, 27, of Central Falls, was arrested on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault/Vandalism from the Providence Police Department.

This occurred after a vehicle stop on Roosevelt Street in Central Falls.

Monet-Brice was processed at the barracks and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
