MANCHESTER — Police arrested a man Monday after responding to a burglary at a Ray Street home.
At about 1 p.m., officers were dispatched following a homeowner’s report of an intruder.
The homeowner, who had gone for a walk at approximately 12:30 p.m., encountered the suspect upon returning and engaged him briefly before he fled.
The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Justin Spencer, was later spotted by Special Enforcement Division detectives walking on Union Street.
Spencer, who matched the description from the homeowner’s Ring camera footage, was found in possession of coins and jewelry from the residence.
Spencer, who has no fixed address, was arrested without incident.
He faces charges of burglary and breach of bail conditions, as he was out on bail from an unrelated case in Manchester District Court.
Authorities have placed Spencer in preventative detention until his court hearing.
