FITCHBURG — The Fitchburg Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jeremiah Cruz-Nieves, a 15-year-old runaway last seen on Nov. 27.
Cruz-Nieves, a Hispanic male with an afro-style haircut and brown eyes, stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall.
He left a residential program house on Clarendon Street on foot, and his intended destination remains unknown.
When last seen, he was wearing gray sweatpants, a gray Nike sweater, and white, pink, and green Nike sneakers.
Authorities express concern for his well-being due to the lack of transportation and shelter amid the extreme temperatures in the region.
Cruz-Nieves may be attempting to make his way to the Worcester area.
