CORINTH — A single-vehicle accident on Brook Rd left a 22-year-old Royalton woman with suspected minor injuries after her car rolled over and ended up in a brook on Dec. 3.

Vermont State Police responded to the crash scene around 1:13 p.m. following a dispatch report.

Alyvia Durrett was driving her 2023 Kia Forte northbound when she lost control of the vehicle on an icy patch while attempting to navigate a corner.

The car exited the roadway on the east side, rolling down a steep embankment before coming to rest on its roof in the brook, eventually righting itself.

Durrett, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.

The Kia Forte sustained total damage in the crash.

The Corinth Fire Department and Upper Valley Ambulance provided assistance at the scene, along with the state police.

The road conditions were reported as black top and icy under cloudy weather conditions.
