Waterbury police offer $50,000 reward in 2016 homicide case

WATERBURY — Waterbury Police Department is appealing to the public for information in the cold case homicide of Cameron Chapman, who was fatally shot nearly seven years ago.

On July 23, 2016, at about 5:54 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Dikeman Street and Willard Street, where Chapman was discovered with gunshot wounds.

Despite immediate response, Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was last seen alive around 3:15 a.m. the same day.

With the case remaining unsolved, detectives are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for Chapman’s death.
