BURKE — A two-vehicle collision occurred on Burke Green Road near Apple Tree Lane on Monday morning amid light snowfall, resulting in no injuries.
According to Vermont State Police, at around 6:47 a.m., Joyce Lemieux, 65, of Burke was driving south when she slowed down and pulled to the right side of the road.
Following behind was Rachel Roy, 46, also of Burke, who was unable to stop her 2012 GMC Sierra due to the snow-covered road conditions, leading to a collision with the rear of Lemieux’s 2024 Jeep Gladiator.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident, and neither vehicle’s occupants were injured.
The GMC Sierra sustained significant front-end damage, while the Jeep Gladiator had contact damage to the bumper.
Emergency services, including the Burke Fire Department, responded to the scene, and both vehicles were subsequently removed from the roadway.
