WILLIMANTIC — A substantial quantity of drugs and cash were confiscated Wednesday afternoon when local police executed a search warrant as part of a narcotics investigation.
At around noon on Nov. 26, officers from the Willimantic Police Department raided a residence in the city, uncovering 139 grams of crack cocaine and cocaine, in addition to seizing over $8,500, a money counter, scales, and various items typically associated with drug distribution operations.
Authorities confirmed that the operation was conducted without any injuries to law enforcement personnel or suspects.
Details regarding arrests or charges were not immediately available, as the investigation remains ongoing.
