PELHAM — A car crash into a utility pole has led to an aggravated DUI charge for a Pelham woman late last night.
Police responded to a single-vehicle accident at 11:42 p.m. on Old Gage Hill Road where they discovered a white 2020 Lexus sedan that had collided with a utility pole near Eddy Lane.
Denise Winn, 61, was identified as the driver of the vehicle.
She was not injured in the crash.
Officer Richard Glynn of the Pelham Police Department investigated the incident and arrested Winn for driving under the influence after observing signs of impairment.
The road was closed for several hours as utility crews worked to replace the damaged pole.
Winn has been charged with aggravated DUI and criminal mischief.
She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Salem District Court on Dec. 9 at 8 a.m.
