GREENLAND — A high-speed pursuit that started in New Hampshire ended in a crash in Massachusetts today, with the suspect now in custody facing potential charges in both states.

State troopers initiated the chase around 11:30 a.m. on Interstate 95 after a State Police aircraft detected a vehicle speeding in excess of 100 mph.

Trooper Samuel Provenza, who was in the aircraft, coordinated with Trooper First Class Scott Garton on the ground to attempt to pull over the dark-colored car.

Despite the efforts to stop the driver, the chase continued into Massachusetts with the suspect using all lanes of traffic, including the breakdown lane, to evade capture.

Due to safety concerns, troopers from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts eventually discontinued the pursuit.

Shortly after, the vehicle crashed near Exit 76B in Massachusetts after the driver lost control while navigating a curve.

The driver, an adult male, sustained serious injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to a hospital.

The identity of the suspect has not been released as the investigation is ongoing, and authorities have indicated that criminal charges in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts are forthcoming.

Further details will be provided as they become available.
