BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects linked to a recent shoplifting incident at the local Stop & Shop.
Authorities say over $300 worth of merchandise was stolen from the supermarket on the evening of Nov. 24 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Police have released photos of the individuals believed to be involved and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The request for public assistance comes amidst a series of shoplifting cases at the same Stop & Shop location over the past two weeks.
The police department reported that all individuals apprehended in the previous incidents have been identified and charged.
Stop & Shop officials have reiterated that the store is equipped with a comprehensive security camera system, which monitors the entire premises.
The supermarket is collaborating closely with law enforcement to report each incident of theft and ensure the safety and security of its merchandise and customers.
