MANCHESTER — A 24-year-old Manchester man was arrested Nov. 21 after a month-long investigation into child sexual abuse images, authorities said.
Michael Zifchak turned himself into Manchester Police following a joint investigation by the department, the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported suspicious activity on a social media account.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Zifchak’s electronic devices and discovered multiple sexually explicit images of underage girls.
Earlier this month, an arrest warrant was issued for Zifchak, leading to his surrender to police.
Zifchak faces eight counts of possession of child sexual abuse images and seven counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited.
He was released on $2,500 cash bail.
