FALL RIVER — Following multiple complaints from local residents, the Fall River Police Department’s Community Action and Suppression Team (CAST) successfully executed a search warrant today at a problematic apartment complex known for frequent disturbances.
The raid, which involved CAST detectives, the Housing Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, took place at 189 Middle Street, Apartment 2, targeting 22-year-old Anthony Kidd.
Authorities reported finding an array of illegal items within the residence, including a Smith and Wesson .22 caliber rifle, an FN509 9 mm handgun, as well as significant quantities of illicit drugs — approximately 63.94 grams of suspected fentanyl, 28.67 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 48.46 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and around 30 grams of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms.
Additionally, police seized $10,054.00 in cash.
Kidd was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition without a license, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
