RUTLAND — An unknown burglar broke into the West Rutland Sunoco on Rutland Road early Tuesday morning, making off with an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.
Vermont State Police reported that they were alerted to an alarm at the gas station at 2:29 a.m. Upon arrival, troopers discovered signs of forced entry.
The perpetrator had already fled the scene.
Authorities have released surveillance images from the store in hopes that members of the public can help identify the suspect.
The Vermont State Police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
