RISP troopers make multiple arrests including fugitive from justice

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police had a busy weekend with several arrests including a Massachusetts fugitive and individuals charged with reckless driving and DUI.

On Nov. 25 at 4:39 p.m., Troopers arrested Charlie Vick, 35, of Peabody, Massachusetts, at the Wyatt Detention Center in Central Falls.

Vick faced a Fugitive From Justice charge for possessing a large-capacity weapon and a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on a domestic violence assault charge.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held for arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.

In the early hours of Nov. 26, at 12:24 a.m., Jose Montes Guisao, 29, of Providence, was stopped on Bodell Avenue and arrested for reckless driving, driving after denial/revocation/suspension of license with special circumstances, and driving with a suspended/revoked/cancelled license—his fourth or subsequent offense.

Guisao was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

Later, at 2:20 a.m., Izaiah Polanco, 29, of East Providence, was arrested for first-offense DUI with an unknown blood alcohol content and refusal to submit to a chemical test after being pulled over on Taunton Avenue in East Providence.

Polanco was processed, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.
