BARTON — A Vermont man was charged with excessive speeding after state police clocked his car going 130 mph on Interstate 91.
Jeffrey Matheson, 20, of Gilman, was driving a Subaru Outback when he was stopped by a trooper on patrol at approximately 7:54 p.m. Thursday.
The posted speed limit in the area is 65 mph.
Matheson’s speed was detected by radar, according to the Vermont State Police.
He has been cited to appear in Orleans Superior Criminal Court to answer to the charge.
