RANDOLPH — At 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 26, Vermont State Police arrested a 38-year-old Bethel man on an active in-state warrant while responding to a vehicle crash on N. Randolph Rd.
William L. White was taken into custody after a routine check by troopers at the scene revealed he was wanted for failing to appear in court for three misdemeanor violations of an abuse prevention order and for resisting arrest.
The warrant for White’s arrest was confirmed by dispatch as active.
White’s encounter with law enforcement was coincidental, as he was not involved in the crash but was passing by when identified by the troopers.
He was apprehended without any further incident.
White has been cited to appear at the Windsor County Superior Court in Woodstock on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
