WEST RUTLAND — A local woman was cited for drug possession after Vermont State Police troopers found cocaine and methamphetamine in her backpack late Thursday night.
Nicole Brouillard, 36, of West Rutland, is facing charges of possession of cocaine and methamphetamine following a tip about illegal drug use in a parking area.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks received the tip at approximately 11:08 p.m. on Nov. 24 and responded to the scene where they found Brouillard and another individual in a vehicle.
After observing indicators of drug use, troopers obtained consent to search the vehicle and discovered the illegal substances in Brouillard’s possession.
Brouillard was issued a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court to answer to the charges.
The date of the court appearance was not immediately available.
