ST. ALBANS — A 37-year-old St. Albans man was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder following a stabbing incident on Nov. 24.
St. Albans Police Department officers responded to a call at Ranimer Place at approximately 11:48 a.m., where they found a male victim who had been stabbed in the chest.
The victim, identified as Jason McWilliams, 30, also of St. Albans, received on-scene evaluation before being transported to Northwest Medical Center by AmCare EMS.
He was later transferred to UVM Medical Center, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
The suspect, Justin Lee Reynolds, was located shortly after the incident and taken into custody without incident.
Reynolds has an extensive criminal history, including five felony convictions, nine misdemeanor convictions, an assaultive crime conviction, an assault on officer charge, and three violations of probation or parole.
Following consultation with the Franklin County State’s Attorney’s Office, Reynolds was held at Northwest State Correctional Facility without bail pending arraignment.
