WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West Springfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a purse theft and subsequent fraudulent credit card use.
Authorities released surveillance images of an individual who is seen taking a purse from a shopper’s cart at a local business.
The suspect then proceeded to make several unauthorized credit card transactions in the West Springfield area.
The police department has urged anyone with information about the case or the identity of the suspect to contact Det. Dente at 413-263-3210, extension 229.
Individuals who prefer to provide information while remaining anonymous have the option to do so.
The incident, recorded under case number 24-31546, has prompted a thorough investigation as the department aims to apprehend the individual responsible for the theft and fraud.
