RISP make multiple arrests over the weekend

JOHNSTON — Rhode Island State Police have reported a series of arrests following traffic-related incidents this past weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, at 12:25 p.m., Troopers from the Scituate Barracks apprehended Marcus Caparco, 53, of Smithfield, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for violating a no-contact order in a domestic violence case.

The arrest occurred during a vehicle stop on Route 6 East in Johnston.

Caparco was taken to State Police Headquarters and later transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) Men’s Intake.

Later that evening, at 8:30 p.m., Maura McKenna, 48, of Burrillville, was arrested on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for failing to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Scituate Barracks.

McKenna was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned as a bail violator, and transported to the ACI Women’s Intake Center.

Early Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2:00 a.m., Zackary Pacheco, 21, of Cranston, was detained for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content between .15 and higher, after a stop on Memorial Boulevard in Providence.

Pacheco recorded a .190 on Phase I and .192 on Phase II of the breathalyzer test.

He was processed at headquarters and released to a responsible adult after arraignment.

Shortly thereafter, at 2:30 a.m., Jovann Figueroa, 37, of Central Falls, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test following a vehicle stop on Killingly Street in Johnston.

Figueroa was also processed at headquarters, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.
