Woman arrested on fraud charges in Providence

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested a Providence woman at 5:45 p.m. for bank fraud and fraudulent checks totaling over $1,500, Rhode Island State Police reported.

Shareva Page, 33, turned herself in at the Wickford Barracks as a result of an investigation.

Page faces one count of bank fraud and two counts of issuing fraudulent checks, each offense involving sums exceeding $1,500.

Following her arrest, Page was specially arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released pending a future district court date.
