CAMBRIDGE — A Morristown man was arrested in connection with a series of burglaries, including one at the Lake Eden Country Store, following a tip from the public, Vermont State Police said.
Mark Creedy, 34, was taken into custody around 10:47 p.m. on Nov. 22 after being spotted at a complex on Richie’s Lane.
The arrest followed an investigation into a burglary reported on Nov. 14 at the country store, where an undisclosed amount of cash and personal property was stolen.
Troopers responding to the initial burglary call at 8:28 a.m. at the store at 4121 VT Route 100 in Eden reviewed surveillance footage showing an individual breaking into a cash register with a knife.
Following the Eden burglary, several similar incidents in the area led police to identify Creedy as a person of interest.
With assistance from Vermont State Fish & Game Wardens, Creedy was located and apprehended without incident.
Creedy was processed at the Williston Barracks and ordered to appear at the Lamoille County Superior Court on Nov. 25 at 12:30 p.m. He is being held for lack of $500 bail.
