BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested a Quincy man Friday on charges of breaking into multiple motor vehicles in East Boston.
At about 3:45 a.m., on Nov. 22, officers from District A-7 responded to a report at 345 Meridian Street of a motor vehicle break-in.
Upon arrival, they discovered two vehicles with shattered passenger side windows.
While investigating, officers received a second report of a suspect breaking into a parking garage at 5 Trenton Street.
Officers located the suspect, identified as Joseph Woodside, 41, leaning into a vehicle.
They commanded him to get on the ground and quickly apprehended him.
Another victim approached the officers to report his vehicle’s passenger window was also broken.
A total of four vehicles were found to have been broken into.
Woodside faces four counts each of Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle and Malicious Destruction of Property.
Additionally, officers found that Woodside had five outstanding warrants for various offenses, including Assault, Larceny, and Drug Possession.
He is slated for arraignment in East Boston District Court.
