RUTLAND — Vermont State Police arrested a 22-year-old transient man Thursday on charges of domestic assault and unlawful restraint following an incident in Poultney.
Troopers responded to a report of a family fight at approximately 6:18 p.m. on Nov. 21.
Upon arrival, they determined that Scott Perry Jr. had willfully and recklessly caused pain or injury to a family member and restrained them against their will, according to police.
Perry was taken into custody and transported to the State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was issued court-ordered conditions of release and a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court on charges of second-degree domestic assault and unlawful restraint.
The Vermont State Police do not release the names of domestic violence victims.
