GROTON — A man accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other charges was arrested early Thursday morning, authorities said.

Brandon Lackie, 36, was taken into custody around 8:35 p.m. Monday after law enforcement officials from the Haverhill Police Department and Grafton County Sheriff’s Office in New Hampshire located him.

Lackie, a Groton resident, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, four counts of violation of conditions of release, and operation without consent of owner following an incident on Tinkham Road involving victim John Faucette, 39, also from Groton.

Officials did not provide further details about the circumstances leading to Lackie’s arrest.

Questions regarding his capture were directed to the involved New Hampshire agencies.

After the extradition process is completed in New Hampshire, Lackie is expected to be returned to Vermont, where he will face charges related to the stabbing incident involving Faucette.
