CUMBERLAND — Members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Task Force arrested a Rhode Island man on multiple firearms charges, authorities said Wednesday.
Christopher Duffy, 32, of Cumberland, was taken into custody on Nov. 20 for possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited.
Duffy was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, according to the task force.
Following the arrest, Duffy was specially arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Center.
He is scheduled for a morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
