PROVIDENCE — Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks conducted several traffic stops in Providence leading to the arrest of three individuals on outstanding warrants and various charges on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.
On Tuesday at 11 p.m., troopers arrested Antwan Stuckey, 32, of Providence, for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear for a court hearing related to a charge of driving without the owner’s consent.
The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Chad Brown Street.
Stuckey was processed at the barracks and then transferred to the Providence Police Department.
In the early hours of Wednesday at 2:15 a.m., Ariceliz Gonzalez, 39, also of Providence, was taken into custody for obstructing an officer and failing to appear for an arraignment on a charge of willful trespass.
Gonzalez was apprehended following a stop on Charles Street, processed at the barracks, and held for arraignment at the Sixth Division District Court.
Shortly after Gonzalez’s arrest, at 2:20 a.m., Hector Payano, 33, of Central Falls, was arrested for a failure to appear warrant related to a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Payano’s arrest was the result of a stop on Route 95 and led to his processing at the barracks before being turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
The Rhode Island State Police are actively pursuing individuals with outstanding warrants and remind the public of the importance of adhering to court dates and legal obligations.
