NASHUA — A former BJ’s Wholesale employee has been arrested and charged with felony theft after allegedly stealing more than $41,000 from the retailer, police said.

Russell Dukett, 56, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Nov. 16 after a warrant was issued for his arrest on a charge of Theft by Unauthorized Taking $1501.00+, a Class A Felony.

The arrest followed an investigation that began on Aug. 14 when Nashua officers were called to BJ’s Wholesale for a report of internal employee theft.

The business claimed that Dukett, over several months, had taken more than $41,000.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division took over the case and, after concluding their investigation, established probable cause to apply for an arrest warrant for Dukett.

Dukett was released on personal recognizance bail.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Dec. 18 at 1 p.m.

The Nashua Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about the incident to contact the Crime Line at (603)-589-1665.
