HIGHGATE — A Swanton woman was arrested on charges of DUI, criminal refusal, and negligent operation following a single-vehicle accident on VT Route 78 near McKinnel Road.
Vermont State Police responded to the incident at 1:42 p.m. on Nov. 17.
Upon arrival, troopers identified the driver as 42-year-old Lisa Filion of Swanton.
During the interaction with Filion, troopers observed indicators of impairment and took her into custody.
Filion was transported to the Swanton Police Department for processing.
After her release, she received a citation to appear in the Franklin County Superior Court on Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
