Woman arrested for DUI after minor crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A Milton woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a minor car accident in front of Ben and Jerry’s on Waterbury Stowe Road on Nov. 17 at 2:34 p.m.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Berlin Barracks arrived at the scene after being notified of the incident.

Upon investigation, the driver, identified as Shelby Chicoine, 38, exhibited signs of impairment.

Chicoine was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Barracks for further processing.

After processing, Chicoine was released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, to face DUI charges.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Further details about the incident have not been disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
