Rhode Island state troopers make multiple arrests for DUI, fraud, and hit-and-run

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers conducted several arrests following various incidents, including DUI and fraud charges, according to officials from the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

At 10:41 a.m., Troopers apprehended Jose Paz, 39, of Pawtucket, on a warrant for fraud related to insufficient check funds out of the Johnston Police Department.

Paz was stopped on Route 146 in Providence and subsequently turned over to Johnston authorities after processing.

Later in the day, at 1:56 p.m., Mark Herd, 58, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident with damage to an attended vehicle and obstructing a police officer.

His arrest followed a hit-and-run incident on Route 95 South in Pawtucket.

Herd was processed at the barracks and later faced a Justice of the Peace.

The evening led to the arrest of Chauntelle M. Broduer, 37, of Pawtucket, at 10:03 p.m. Broduer had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court related to charges of controlled substance possession and a separate hit-and-run incident.

She was taken to the Women’s Intake Center at the Adult Correctional Institution after processing.

Early the next morning, at 1:24 a.m., Chavely T. Lugo Antuna, 23, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, was arrested for DUI with a BAC between .10 and .15 on her first offense.

This arrest occurred following a stop on Route 95 in Providence.

Lugo Antuna was processed, arraigned, and released with a court summons.
