Providence man arrested for forgery, providing false documents after traffic stop

WEST GREENWICH — Rhode Island State Troopers arrested a Providence man on charges of forgery and providing false documents to a public official following a traffic stop on Route 95 in West Greenwich.

At 10:12 a.m., Elvis Urizar Rodriguez, 34, of 105 Chapin Avenue, Apt. 2 was taken into custody after a motor vehicle stop led to the discovery of forged registration plates and the submission of false documents to the authorities.

Rodriguez was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed.

Following the arraignment by the Justice of the Peace, he was released with a scheduled future date at the Third District Court.
