Enfield police seek tips in hit-and-run that injured pedestrian

ENFIELD — A pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident early Thursday morning, and Enfield police are asking for the public’s help in finding the vehicle involved.

According to the Enfield Police Department Traffic Division, the crash occurred on Oct. 31 between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Post Road, just west of the intersection with Phoenix Avenue.

The injured pedestrian was found by the roadside and transported to St. Francis Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest: a Blue Chevy Silverado with a silver toolbox last seen traveling eastbound on Post Road around the time of the crash.

It is believed to have damage to the passenger-side rearview mirror and minor damage on the passenger side.

Officer Nisyrios of the Enfield Police Department has requested that anyone with information regarding the crash, or the whereabouts of the vehicle in question, to contact the department at 860-763-8985 or 860-819-8239.

The Traffic Division is actively pursuing leads to resolve the case.
